That’s a good question. I’m not sure if that information would be readily available. Broadcasters may not want that information made public.

RE: Interesting
I was looking for WNBA ratings vs. both NCAA tournament ratings. I would expect both tournaments do very well.

NBA makes their ratings in the playoffs, TBH mostly does CBB with the NCAA tournament. In this case since one is a tournament game and the other are regular season games, we are sort of comparing apples and oranges.

I don’t care what kind of comparison we’re doing, women’s college basketball should never have more viewers than an NBA game at anytime.

NBA is really not that popular. Hard to be popular when you piss off 1/2 of your potential fan base with political grand standing.

RE: Interesting
NCAA is fantastic because of all of the teams.. fans all over the country have 100’s of schools that play the sport and create the interest … the good ones that rise to the top are supported (especially NCAA basketball) because the tournament has access to any program that builds a winner and gets in.. the Hoosiers (movie) mentality is powerful and NCAA basketball has it..

This will also apply to football when the new playoff expands.. the money and interest will only grow .. not shrink.. especially when the underdogs can access the tourney..

The NBA numbers likely reflect the national, not international, cable audience.

A big year for the women's game and for college sport, just the same.

Congratulations! 06-basketball
