Guess the Bragga era wasn’t the bottom. Hitting, pitching, game decisions are all poor at best. So far only fielding rates a barely passing grade. None of this will help recruiting.

Holding out hope for some momentum during conference play. Telling myself that our record was 17-39 last year and 5-13 at the end of out of conference play. So we’re maybe on an upward trajectory. We even swept a weekend series this year.

Rice dropped 17 places overnight and 47 places in the RPI rankings in the last 7 days, now ranked 140. The weekend series the Owls swept was vs the #256 team (out of 305) and the Owls were shutout last night by the #255 team. Appreciate the optimism, but any positive momentum is hard to see.

Oof - I figured the metrics weren't going to do us any favors, but didn't realize how bad they would look. Yikes.

Top 4 teams in the RPI are BC, Columbia, Wofford, and Northeastern.

I agree with your general point but the RPI is useless until mid April at the earliest.

The good news is I don’t foresee any Edwin Diaz type injuries (team celebration related injuries) in the offing for the 2023 team.
