I believe that will change with continued success.

RE: Basketball Transfer Portal
Just makes no sense to me.
AK has his own alcohol related incident at Cincinnati.
He would be following in the footsteps of a disgraced alcoholic curmudgeon who has said incredibly offensive stuff about multiple groups of people and hasn’t been that successful in the recent past.
Given all that - Why would WVU want someone associated with Huggins to continue as their coach? Especially someone who also has their own alcohol related blemish on their record??
Not to mention if AK leaves us now, all the BS about the bartow standard, returning us to former glory, etc, is all complete and utter BS and he will tarnish what he’s done here irrevocably to me.
Leaving immediately after the season for a good job is one thing, but leaving NOW, after all he’s said, after the brand new team he’s recruited, when we are on the precipice of moving to a new conference and continuing facility upgrades, and leaving for a mediocre big 12 program, especially with the other stuff mentioned above, would be a massive F*** you to UAB.
He may make a couple mil more, and I can’t really blame him if true, it it’s still a massive F*** you.

WVU's AD is Wren Baker who was UNT's AD previously so he's familiar with AK and UAB.

On the AK side, I agree with what you say, but I can do that, because I don't have to go to work every day with Fumbles as my boss.
On the WVU side, it makes zero sense. Academics are vindictive as all nine circles of hell: people who got a negative peer review from your diss. advisor 35 years ago will hunt you down just to **** with you (I didn't make that up randomly). Those things they're shouting about Bob at WVU don't mean that they want to have sex with him. And there is no Academic more dissociated, vindictive and outright nuts than WVU Pres. E. Gordon Gee. He's Ray Watts without a filter, 102 years old and meaner than dirt, the only university president on this planet, living or dead, I would not trade for Ray. I find it hard to believe he wouldn't veto an AK hire, just to **** over Bob.

I had season tickets when Garrick McGee was our head coach. You can't scare me off.

RE: Basketball Transfer Portal
I did, too. But, I wasn’t renewing tickets as soon as the season was over back then, I was waiting until July for football. Hoops, I renewed a few days after we finished in NIT, because I expected we’d have a staff returning, these pieces, and hopefully a better schedule. Last year I renewed football in February and had a coach quit on us before the season leaving the one guy who shouldn’t be coaching, in charge.
You can understand why some people would rather just watch from home. “Give us your money”, but crap like this goes on. As someone else said, WVU is Mediocre without Hugs and many times got bids by association and not by earning it. Pointing at their 7-11 conference record last year.

RE: Basketball Transfer Portal
You guys got to calm down and take a valium. AK isn't leaving. Already talking about not renewing tickets, players leaving, UAB doom and gloom all over him being mentioned in an article or a zoom meeting.
This is what his agents get paid for to get him more money to stay here. He isn't leaving so please stop the panic until we have a reason to.

WVU was highly ranked by NET (24) and KenPom (19), although their Massey Composite rankings varied from 11 to 66! They started off their Big-12 season 0-5. They finished 19-15 overall and 7-11. They won their last two regular season conference games to get wins 6 and 7. They were 6-14 in Quad 1 games. Their best non-conference victories were against UAB and Auburn. Their overall strength of schedule was ranked 5th by KenPom. In early February they lost at Texas by 34. They were down by 21 at halftime.
IMHO, they didn’t belong in the dance this season. With all the stats and rankings, I still believe you need a winning record in conference games to qualify. I guess I’m old fashion. I’m certainly old. It bothers me to see teams with losing conference records having high computer rankings and Big-Dance invitations. It’s bull-crap! They were 4 games below .500 in conference play!
Rant over.
