We finished 2nd in the conference! Our first Pensrose Cup would have been nice, but I I think most people expected this to be a rebuilding year, and yet here we are!

I hope as many or more show up to Lawson as we saw versus Denver on the 25th of February. Go BRONCOS!!

They re-seed after QF. I’ll take a Denver, Western, North Dakota, & St. Cloud win this weekend.

SF would be Denver vs North Dakota & Western vs St. Cloud. I’d like our chances in that match-up.

Fersch is about to win his 50th and 51st games this weekend as a bronco head coach in a total of 2 seasons.

If he doesn’t get it and Denver’s coach gets it, I’ve lost mad respect for this conference that I love watching us play in.

DU is doing things with huge returning pieces. Fersch is doing it with almost an entirely new crew!

How do I get a jersey like the one coach Taylor wore when he dropped the puck earlier this year. I love that jersey!

Fersch & the Omaha HC should be the top 2 candidates. Omaha was picked for 7th place this year.

If not, we do get the joy of Wisconsin canning Granato and Fersch's name making the news article lists of possible replacements. I'd call it typical Big Ten Arrogance except the Big Ten ***** gold if it wants to, so one always gets to be nervous.

Friday and Sat are now only selling standing room only.

Fersch should be in strong contention for C.O.Y. as should the Omaha coach.

Preseason media polled picked WMU to finish 5th. Team GPG 4.00 (highest since WMU joined NCHC) and OGPG 2.53 is very impressive. Also looks good coaching #1 goal scorer in the country and two top ten players in points, one who is just a freshman.

DU team/coach was picked to finish 1st and I don't see him getting C.O.Y.

The NCHC Coach of the year has primarily been the coach of the penrose champion. Murray did get it in 16-17 however. Denver coach has not won it so that’s why I say the redhead gets it . He should have gotten it last year and they won the natty.

College sports media vote on standings/records almost exclusively.

I hope Dan realizes his ability to keep Fersch long term will speak volumes about his abilities as an AD.

Extending Fersch was one of the first things he did as the new AD.

I wouldn't say one of the first things as it was nine months into the AD gig. But important non the less.

Eager to see what the status is of Mbereko, he did not play vs Denver last weekend.

Extending a coach is easy. Keeping them when others extend something their way is the trick.
