Barbee won't be coach much longer if all he has is a revolving door of players coming and going.

For other schools this is like a garage sale. Are there any of those CMU players that we want? Maybe that center?

Reggie Bass was he MAC freshman of the year. Kevin Miller may be the best point guard in the MAC next year, depending how he recovers from his injury, that had him sit out most of last year? Unfortunately, Barbee is not going anywhere, buy out is a Million and with the current financial situation for most MAC schools, they can't afford the hit. But there has to be something toxic in the program to lose your 4 best players in one week?

The state of health in Michigan MAC basketball programs is hardly robust. We three had a vice-like grip on the conference bottom this year.

RE: Monday's March Musings
Is there anyone out in the March Madness challenges with a possible perfect bracket?

I'd think even the best AI program would have seen the FDU win over Purdue.

I'm partial to HS east coast bb based on what I've seen. As some of the nation's best bb is played in NJ. It's one reason St.Peter's (located in Jersey City, NJ) went to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament last year, and FDU (located in Hackensack NJ) beat Purdue in the first-round yesterday.

The midwest has many good players, but it's my opinion that going forward EMU would be wise to recruit more in the east (Monty Scott and Noah Farrakhan are from NJ), especially since many of Michigan's top-flight players flock to bigger schools.

Suspect I've opened a hornet's nest, but I have to call it as I see it.

Nope. You are preaching to the choir. Basketball along the East Coast is far better than Midwest.

I suspect that shows why the Midwest has not performed very well this year.

Looks like a promising hire. There is no clear template for MAC coaching success, but it does seem that great head coaches at lower programs do better than P6 assistants or alumni.

I saw that game and I thought that FAU would have competed in the top tier of the B1G. They were clearly the best opponent to visit Ypsilanti in a long time.
