But reffing changes everything---
Every game is a non-linear equation and refs are one of the main non constants in every single game...
Yes. And their first half game plan changes at halftime. It’s obvious.

Players know when the refs have biases, and the refs know that the players know. It changes everything from the very beginning.
Refs are in a very powerful position and they know it. Vegas knows it. People that think the NIL ruined College sports...are not very perceptive.

Media folks are now being more critical of reffing in general. Not long ago, it was against some unspoken rule for media to criticize reffing. The zebras for whatever reason/s ruled the media.

Agree with all of this. It's very interesting how the trends have changed. Officiating is HUGE! And having a coach that can manipulate things in your favor is huge. Penny's weak point, if he has one, is his unwillingness to hold officials accountable. He respects their authority, almost to a fault.

Agreed on all above --- I wish/think he would/should have gone ape ship crazy on that out of bounds call----I would have loved to see how the GENERAL would have reacted LOL.

They would have called a technical foul on Penny, and people here would be blaming the loss on him and calling for his head.

True. You'll never make everyone happy. But you do what you think puts your team in the best position to win. Penny clearly has done that.
