IDK, was play resumed it was too late though. Seemed like only the announcers and the girl who pulled our player off the court realized what had happened.

Wow. Someone fell asleep on the job. Has 6 players on the court happened lately? Didn’t it happen with Western Kentucky and maybe Louisiana years ago? The refs should send the Troy team an apology.

I’m guessing there will be a statement made by the conference before the night is up but that will do little to appease the Troy faithful

Yep one of those where you get a "sorry the refs cost you the game" but your season is still over. We had one of those in our last CAA tournament. Ref T'd our guy up for saying "and one" and cost us the game. The conference apologized the next day and then we got screwed all year the next year, Mettlen said sources told him the refs didn't like being shown up with that apology.

Sorry, Troy. Still, ODU and their fans can’t feel any guilt. It could have been them. And on every possession, fouls are missed, travels and carries don’t get called. Stuff happens.

Its worth pointing out that Troy was down 1 when ODU scored, so the 6 players in floor didn't directly contribute to the winning basket, but the missed Technical would have tied the game. (I think 6 man is a one shot foul now?)

This is not a foul getting missed or a judgment call. Much different.

I hope our men's basketball team isn't watching this game too hard. Can't get the easy layup. But, then our men's team has been having trouble with that too.

No one noticed it but the announcer. Not the Troy players, not the Troy staff, not the refs. No one but the ODU bench who pulled number six off the floor as the basket was being scored. The Troy coach didn’t protest until after the game from what I saw. I doubt she knew at the time. I mean, I don’t even know if I’ve ever seen a tech called for six players. 12 men in football, sure. But I don’t think the refs or anyone else was looking for it.

Sadly I doubt Troy had a leg to stand since they also didn't notice it until afterwards. That is a failure in them. But a major fail on the refs for not paying attention. Who knows. What came of the protest?

If the call had been made there’s a very high probability they would have won or at the least forced OT.

As I said on the ODU board: that was some Matrix level bullet dodging by the Monarchs to not throw a 20 point lead away. But hats off to Troy, those last 8 minutes were something. ****** ending really.

Shout out for the ODU player who yanked the 6th player off the court onto the bench, heads up play.

This is how I see it too. It truly sucks for Troy. They would have most likely won the game if the T had been called. The Monarchs had an epic meltdown in that one. It’s hard to be happy with this win.

Yep their last possession was bad, I was really surprised they chucked up that three with so much time left. ODU almost bailed them out though! They made a hell of a comeback and it was a great game, sucks to have such an impactful missed call impact such a great game.

Great game going on between stAte and Southern Miss right now. USM just tied it up, 50 seconds to go in the first half.
