RE: ACC Baseball 2023
I got caught up in March Madness, so didn't follow the Cards too much the past 10 days or so.

We beat Cincinnati 14 - 1 in a mid week game in Cincy,

Then lost a series to NC State in Raliegh ...

NC State won Friday game 6-5
NC State won Saturday game 10-0
Cards won Sunday game 6-1.

Cards face Lipscomb at home tonight, then host the smoking hot Boston College Eagles.

Cards are 21-6 on the season. 4-5 in conference.

As usual GT has a great offense. As usual the pitching is stopping them from being a great team. I don't think the current pitching coach from the Yankees farm system is the answer.

Lipscomb 12
Louisville 7

Ouchie.

But I think a few teams took an L tonight. It happens, but it stings.

21-7, 4-5 on the season.

ND had a slow start but is warming up. New coach, lost lots of guys from last year, etc...

It has just won four in a row.

It beat Pitt the first two games this weekend, going for a sweep today.

ND is 17-11. 7-7 in the ACC.

Cards finish the sweep ...... winning 4-2 over BC.

Cards face Kentucky on Tuesday (I think it's on ACCN).
Cards face Wake Forest next weekend.

4 games against top 10 squads. Not getting any easier.

Cards now 24-7 overall, and 7-5 in conference.

RE: ACC Baseball 2023
Signs of life from Clemson this week as they've put together their best week in roughly a month. Shelled T25 Coastal Carolina in midweek action, then managed to finally break through for a series win against FSU. Know it's not much to brag about given both programs have struggled, but after letting so many series slip through their fingers, the Tigers needed 1 in the worst way if they want to build some momentum.

Cam Cannarella is gonna be a special 1 - only a freshman & hitting over .400 on year, leading team in doubles & SBs. Caden Grice, who struggled last year as sophomore, has come back on big time. 2nd on team in BA & leads team w/ 9 HRs. His value on the mound has also been huge, 2-1 over 6 starts. He keeps this up, he could very well in in convo for not only ACC, but national, POY.

Cards faced the other school from Louisville Wednesday, with tributes to the victims of the workplace shooting that happened earlier this week .... After falling behind 1 - 0 early, the Cards rallied, and won 14 - 2.

Cards hosting Wake this weekend ... and Wake has already won the series, and go for the sweep tomorrow.

Friday Night: Wake 11 Cards 5
Today: Wake 3 Cards 0

Play Sunday afternoon at 1.

Cards are now 25 - 9 overall, and 7 - 7 in conference.

Link Jarrett will have FSU in Omaha a lot of times. He is a great coach.

He went 86-32 at ND, with two superregional berths (two straight regionals won) and a College World Series berth in a tenure of two years and 13 games (ND went 11-2 in the shortened 2020 Covid season).

He had ND with the best regular season record in the ACC in 2021. Think about that....the ACC's best baseball team that year was.....Notre Dame?

He did that with a roster that had struggled to reach .500 in the years before he got there.

He recruited well at a Northern school with a $60,000 a year tuition

He did it at a Northern school that plays its first 15-18 games every year on the road in the South and where they don't have any outside practices until they go South to play.

ND also has no mid-week games until mid to late March. So, no "easy" games for roster management and experience.

I think that he may be the best college baseball coach in the country.

That's what we like to hear. 06-baseball

ND swept the Virginia series over the weekend.

I think that Virginia had six losses all year. Now, they have nine.

ND has won five in a row.

ND holding its own ...
we salute U ...
y’all did us a solid ...
