Short version: WSU President follows K State message boards.

WSU president Kirk Schulz: I follow the Kansas State message boards, and there were guys reporting every month that it was imminent that the ‘Corners’ schools (Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah) were going to the Big 12. It was imminent in October. Then in November. And in January.

The B12 obsessions make a kind of sense, I guess. Where it's hard to feel much nostalgia for the past, people might get busy creating nostalgia for the future.

That’s great. People out there do scour these boards for ideas - they might think we’re crazy, but they’re here. Putting aside the realignment angle, it’s sort of heartwarming that he left the Kansas State president position 7 years ago but still avidly follows K-State sports.

It’s been over a decade, but once former Cincinnati now VT AF went on the Dude of WV’s podcast. When USC AD Mike Bohn was at Cincinnati he spoke to a group of us in a town hall and jokingly asked which one of us was Tuxedo Yoda.

These presidents and ADs monitor social media, either directly or through a surrogate.

Ah, good ol' "Witless" Babcock... The only AD who could possibly schedule two consecutive "Bye weeks" to START a football season.

Yep, one of the few to leave here and it actually ended up being for the best for UC.

"Hey Judy. It's probably time to get two more replacements schools. Who should we call?"

"Well ... There is this poster at the CSNBBS realignment board who has compiled this incredible list of schools who might possibly be interested."

Looking at their recent additions, I'm not sure how far off this would be.
