You could also add Gonzaga for Olympic sports and then you have a NW pod where they won’t be on too much of an island.

From the Big XII’s perspective, it would also force the PAC to start giving bids to more G5 teams and would light even more of a fire under Oregon and Washington’s azzes to leave.

The old "go ugly early" concept.

Except this isn't a college frat party. And Yormark isn't hard up.

Fox won't pay the pro-rata for Wazzou and OSU alone. That's 100% guaranteed. You might pay it if UO and UW came along, and just control that inventory. It's probably all or nothing for Fox (maintaining their Big 12 split with ESPN).

Also, Zaga potentially conflicts with this, unless they are planning to go to 19 or 21 Olympic schools.

The Big 12 will likely have their pick of Pac schools, or at least 8, why would we reach to the bottom of the barrel? Bc the Pac media propagandists are pushing the idea that we're fighting to add Fresno St?

For being a realignment board a lot of posters don't understand how realignment works.

If I was going to single out a group of schools to court it would be the PAC 10’s middle class: Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Ariz St.

Grabbing the middle forces the schools at the the top to either find another lifeline or get in line to join the Big 12.

Let be real here: UW/UO and the Bay schools aren’t concerned with the well being of the 4Cs. They are all hoping for a Big 10 invite and if they can get one they are going to take it. If the 4Cs hold the PAC 10 together and accept a bad tv deal they are only giving the others a cozy home until something better comes along.

The middle class schools are playing this year to year. They honestly believe their ADs and coaches can field top 10 programs and get the valuations higher to get the networks "to come to their senses", grandiosity and all. They probably believe the Big 12 will always be there. That may not be a bad assumption, but I cannot for the life of me understand why you can't negotiate an out while making more money in the interim along with better exposure. Regardless, the money is clearly drying up in college football, as I've been intimating for a while now. The lack of profitability of the streaming model tells you all you need to know.
