MyBB 2023 Basketball Pick Contest - Week 6 (Feb. 20-26)
Three weeks remain in this season's Basketball Pick Contest.

This is for the most part the last regular season week in women's basketball for most of the major conferences. Next week is the last regular season week in men's basketball for most of the major conferences. For conference tournaments, I am just going to have you pick the winner of the championship games, you can wait until the championship game is set before picking. I will likely have 1-2 women's championship games. I will likely not include the Big East since it seems obvious that UConn will win and not include the SEC since it seems obvious that South Carolina will win.

Feb. 20:
Kansas at TCU, 9pm (ESPN)

Feb. 21:
Marquette at Creighton, 8:30pm (FS1)

Feb. 23:
Northwestern at Illinois, 9pm (BTN)

Feb. 25:
Stanford at Utah Women, 2pm (Pac 12 Networks)
Texas at Baylor, 2pm
Virginia at North Carolina, 6pm (ESPN)
Indiana at Purdue, 7:30pm (FOX)
St. Mary's at Gonzaga, 10pm (ESPN)
San Diego State at New Mexico, 10pm (CBSSN)

Feb. 26:
Drake at Bradley, 4pm (ESPN+)

On Big Monday, Kansas travels to TCU. TCU got their top player back and scored 100 last Saturday. Why this game? TCU won in Lawrence earlier this year pretty convincingly.

With GoldenWarrior11, I have to pick the big Marquette games and this one is for first place in the Big East as the Golden Warriors travel to Creighton on Tuesday. Creighton had a rough non conference stretch but are just one game behind in conference.

I also have to feature my Illini as well as the surprise team of the year Northwestern. They are on a role, having beaten Purdue and Indiana in back to back games but both of them were in Evanston. Can they handle Champaign? I hope not.

On Saturday we have our women's game of the week, our first Pac 12 game, Stanford at Utah. The teams are ranked #3 and #4 in the AP poll right now. Stanford won the first meeting in Palo Alto.

In men's action, we have Texas at Baylor in a battle of teams seeded #2 in the Selection Committee's Bracket Preview.

Later on North Carolina hosts Virginia in a key ACC battle. UNC hasn't won a Quad 1 game all season (0-9) and this will be a golden opportunity to win one, they better win one to avoid missing the NCAA Tournament after being preseason #1.

A few weeks ago Indiana beat Purdue in Bloomington. Purdue gets their chance at revenge in West Lafayette. Later that night Gonzaga seeks revenge against St. Mary's in Spokane in the WCC season finale before the WCC Tournament.

Finally on Sunday is a likely battle for the regular season MVC title between Drake and Bradley.

Out of 7:

GoldenWarrior11: 5 (Kansas, Marquette, Illinois, Utah Women, Baylor)
Schmolik: 4 (Kansas, Illinois, Utah Women, Baylor)
Skyhawk: 2 (Kansas, Baylor)

All of us have San Diego State and Bradley. Skyhawk has St. Mary's, Golden Warrior11 and I have Gonzaga. Even if St. Mary's wins, GoldenWarrior11 will win the week.
