IMF says US to avoid recession

Also revised their forecast for Russia. Last year they predicted the Russian economy would shrink by over 10% due to Western sanctions.

They were off by a a factor of 5, though it’s “complete collapse and cratering” amounted to 2%.

Then, the IMF previously expected Russias economy to shrink over 2%, hit that has been revised and now expects the economy there to return to growth in 2023.

The UK, and much of Europe, however, are still predicted to either shrink or remain flat.
