Gratz also to Quincy Olivari for becoming Rice's all-time leader in 3-point FGs today (230, passing Ako Adams from a few years ago). But interestingly, Travis Evee can still catch him (he's at 221 at Rice in his 3 years, so he's 9 back of Q). And Evee has 68 more career 3's, since he had 77 his freshman year at VMI, so he's 2 away from 300 in his career.

Alright Owls! Every road win is a big win. We can beat UTSA, WKU, and FIU coming up.

Yay!!!

Win just those 3 and we are likely to have that first round bye in Frisco

Win 4 and it’s almost a lock

RE: MBB @ FIU
This Owl team is more versatile than I expected. They have played games where they lived and died by the 3 as well as other occasions hitting back side cutters and driving to the basket. Rice is no longer a 1 trick pony offensively as we saw with some earlier Owls teams. I think that shows pretty good game-planning by the coaching staff. They are not a perfect team by any stretch but they have been competitive for the most part all season. They have won on the road frequently and even in their losses have been fun to watch (maybe two or three exceptions).

I have sat thru a ton of bad basketball at Autry/Tudor over the past 35 seasons. I am thankful to be able to watch this team compete.

I've said it on this board multiple times ... still pains me that the Harris/McKrith/Almond era didn't produce at least one tournament bid.
