Republicans and Democrats view gender roles dramatically differently. Republicans tend to embrace traditional gender roles, while Democrats tend to question them. Modern liberal Democrats attribute gender roles to established social norms they deem “oppressive.” This leaks into their relationships, often causing some to purposely flip traditional gender roles on their heads. On TikTok, videos titled “life of a stay-at-home husband” or “life of a trophy husband” are an entire genre.





It’s official that “stay-at-home husbands” are in, while concepts like “the man is the head of the household” are offensive and out. Masculinity is toxic and “stay-at-home mom” is code for slave. Unfortunately for progressives, men and women’s differing yet complementary skills and talents are not a construct but rooted in human biology, and fighting nature will never make one happy.

Indeed, conservatives’ comparatively greater happiness goes beyond marriage. The 2022 American Family Survey found that thirty-seven percent of conservative men reported they are “completely satisfied” with their lives versus twenty-one percent of liberal men.

The largest discrepancy is between women. Liberal women are the least happy, with only 15 percent stating they are “completely satisfied” in their lives, contrasted with 31 percent of conservative women. Liberal women were also the most likely to report feeling “completely dissatisfied” with their lives, while conservative women were the least.

For decades, progressives have espoused that focusing on one’s career, holding off on marriage and children, and overthrowing gender norms would make people—particularly women— happier.

A 2022 Bloomberg article claims that “women who stay single and don’t have kids are getting richer” than their married with children counterparts. Bloomberg uses personal testimonies to insist unmarried, childless women have a “deep sense of satisfaction” from their work and “financial freedoms,” but none of that is backed up by the data.

Conservative couples know traditional values and lifestyles are the best at cultivating loving and fulfilling lives. No conservative couples on Valentine’s Day need to be told twice that they’ve made better life choices than the careerist cat lady or the trophy husband.

While democrat women have no idea if they even are women. They can't define what one is and they eagerly comply when told that they may not be a woman OR a man so they need to come out as something else. And they are usually ugly so it's understandable that they are unable to feel any satisfaction with themselves or even those around them. What real woman wants to go through life with hairy armpits and unibrows anyway?

Its no secret that marriage and family are strongly linked to happiness and to personal mental health. Conservatives are at an advantage because they are more likely to embrace the family-first values and virtues that steer them toward marriage and fulfilling family lives. As Immanuel Kant once said, "Rule for Happiness: Someone to do, someone to love and something to hope for."

It should be noted the biggest driver in this unhappiness is leftist women. The issue for them is that too many of them have embrace the narrative that the path to happiness runs counter to marriage and family life. They believe independence, freedom and work will make them happy (see the tasteless Chelsea Handler video from a couple days ago where she touts how happy she is is being childless).

Would you be happy being married to some fat chick with purple hair and nose rings? Liberals are all just miserable people in general. Always blaming the system and everyone else for them being the failures I. Life that they are. It’s why the entire progressive platform is drag everyone else down so we’re all miserable like they are. Again, all just useless wastes of oxygen who the country would be better off if they’d all drop dead.

Had a woman colleague - a staunch Democrat - at my previous job confess to me that she was once convinced her inclination to be more focused on work-life balance and be less career-focused was some kind of internalized misogyny foisted on her by society but hated it and finally quit her job to get something with more flexible hours and less pay and hasn't looked back.

And in fact, there's some evidence that the more freedom women have to make their own choices the less equal outcomes become in terms of things like STEM degrees and participation in certain job fields.

Why anyone, Republican or Democrat would want to be married in this day and age is beyond me.

Republicans are happier in general than Democrats. Not a surprise.

I love my wife. She has given me 2 beautiful kids. We're happy and have similar core beliefs. As such, we are able to insulate our kids from the leftist insanity of this world.

Life is better with a good partner. I've done the single thing and it doesn't even compare.

I wouldn't have two pennies to rub together if I had stayed single. Would I remarry if something happened? Probably not.

Being single is better for someone like me. I'm a loner and don't have any friends. I've dated before, but it always ended up being a waste of time. My sister got cheated on and ended up divorcing her first husband. I'm getting married soon, but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

As for protecting your kids from the left, you're wasting your time. The darkness from the left is growing more and more everyday, and there's nothing we can do to stop it.

My wife and kids are pretty much involved in 99% of my life outside of work. Not sure what else I'd do with my time if I was by myself. Not like there are a bunch of single 40-something men around to hang out with, go on trips with and chase toxic single moms with. It was fun when I was 22 and everyone was single, but what does a single adult over the age of 30 even do with all that alone free time? Play video games? Jerk off? Marry their job? Not attacking your personal decisions, just curious as to what you might do in a given weekend.
