It didn't matter, but the Rockets played a terrible Q4. Hate to see that, when there were always starters on the floor.
That's the kind of thing which makes me question if they can be the best team in the league this year

Not sure why she would start playing in game 18. She's never going to get significant playing time this season so why lose the year of eligibility?

Don't you get a bunch of games? Cochran played a ton and just now hit his limit.

That was an amazing three quarters of basketball. The Rockets absolutely blew out an inferior opponent. They will get more chances to do the same in the coming weeks.

They've been proposing that rule change for quite a while now, but to the best of my knowledge they haven't made it official yet - unless someone knows different.
Cochran is different, as that would be a medical redshirt. That's a possibility if you get hurt during the season and have played in less than 30% of the games, you can get a one-time medical redshirt. And it used to be the injury had to end your season, like you could not come back and play a couple games at the end of the year. Doherty was hurt, earlier, but I don't think that counts if you come back and play later.
Oh, and as for why she might not worry about preserving a year of eligibility, there are still a few student-athletes left, who are basically just using their scholarship to get their degree, and so are not worried about playing an extra year. Or maybe she already has plans to go back to Scotland in which case it wouldn't matter. Who knows.

Good points. Doesn't matter if she had determined that basketball is not a major factor in her decision tree.

3,309 attendance had to be counting season tix. Looked like less than 1,000 on tv but that's fine. They deserve that number with amt of loyal fans who buy a season full.
