This was something that was started during the COVID Pandemic. It was kept up so everyone gamed the system.

Congress works less than 200 days a year, let me rephrase, they're only in session less than 200 days per year.. They can drag their tails to DC and do the job they're elected to instead of constant campaigning, fund raising, and photo ops.
