The Dukes play game three of their four game homestand Thursday night at 7:00 vs the Eagles of Georgia Southern. Dukes are coming off a bit of a nailbiter last Saturday against Georgia State but pulled out the win to get to 16-2 overall and 6-0 in Conference play. The Eagles are sitting at 11-4 overall and 3-3 in Conference having lost their last two games.

Looks like this could be another hard fought battle. With the students back on Campus hope to see a good crowd and a large and energized Pep Band!!

Looking forward to a good game and another JMU win. Now to see if I have a white shirt for tonight.....

I also had to dig one up. Actually found I have two, one is from College Game day. I don't wear white as it gets dirty too easily with all the stuff I have going on in my model airplane workshop!!

My little nephew is super excited to wear his new jersey for the white out He's decided he's a big Julien Wooden fan too so was especially excited that the jerseys in the store all had #22.

I don't have a ton of white JMU stuff either, I think it's just the "JMU: THE University of Virginia" shirt and a JMU football shirt I bought specifically for the ECU game.

We'll be there. Not sure about the "white out" though.

Tough one tonight for the dukes !! Ward for Georgia Southern is a heck of a player! We were not going undefeated in sunbelt play so let’s bounce back this weekend!

Heck of a game, very good opponent, but you got to win these at home. Kiki (8 points) didn’t have her best game but McDaniel really showed up (26 points). Down 2 with 7 seconds left we drive to the hoop and miss the shot, contact made but the refs put the whistles away there.

I thought some of our girls looked like they need to trim up a bit, but damn, GaS had some buffet busters, one very large player struggled to make it up and back down the court.

Tough game to watch tonight but hopefully it wakes the ladies up. Georgia Southern beat the crap out of JMU on the boards - you cannot expect to win if you are outrebounded by double digits. I give the team credit for not giving up and making an exciting game out of it.

Staying in the locker room for the national anthem is absolutely unacceptable. Period.

points in the paint seemed to be the problem tonight. We could never get anything going down low. The Eagles shooting 50% from 3 through the first 75% of the game helped them tremendously. Bummer to lose that one tonight.

Yes. Georgia Southern left the court with about fifteen seconds left in the warm-ups and did not come back onto the court until it was time for the player introductions.

Nasty, rough and tumble game. Lots of pushing and shoving. That water buffalo (#55) didn't so much play great defense as she filled up the lane and blocked out the sun. She could barely make it up and down the court. I swear whoever ran over Kiki in the third period looked like they did it on purpose too. (We sit close enough to the court to see stuff like that.) There were 38 fouls called which should give you some indication....but 20 were on us?? Really? Some of those were real ticky-tacky, too. I thought we might get better refs when we moved up but I guess not.

Heartbreaker. GS has great defense inside, especially the big 6'5" girl. Deez and I were saying if she could make those quick turnaround shots she'd be unstoppable. For a while it looked like we went "ok, we'll take these mid-range jumpers then" and that was going well, but then we just started pounding it inside again. Great, hard fought game on both sides though, both teams hit some really tough shots. GS just hit enough of them down the very last stretch.

Tough loss for sure. we will beat them on the return game.

I was calling her the same thing, and my wife was getting mad at me saying the moniker was inappropriate. I also called another player on their team a Hippo. They were a couple of very large and wide women in the paint.

Tough loss. You never want to lose at home. Time to start another winning streak.

Tough game for the Dukes tonight but they fought hard and clawed back even when they were down by 14 in the 3rd quarter. Did hold the Eagles to about 20 points less then their average for the season.

Off night for Kiki for sure but Peyton stepped up big time. The Dukes simply got out physicalled tonight. When was the last time we saw the Dukes get out rebounded by 15? GaSu had something like 52 boards, can not ever remember a team getting that many against the Dukes. Team fought hard and a couple extra boards and FT's would have put the Dukes in the win column.

Did not expect the Dukes to go undefeated in conference play, I figure 3 or so losses.

Another tough game coming up on Saturday against Troy. Hope Kiki is OK and ready to play after the mauling she got tonight.

Seems that the teams as of late are trying to play the Dukes very hard and chippy to throw off the inside game. Worked tonight as the inside game was almost MIA but not quite. Not up to its usual standard Give GaSu some credit for finding a system that took away and important part of the Dukes offense. A few weird calls by the zebras also as usual. Actually did see a 3 second violation called!!

Ok, thought you meant JMU. Their choice, thought players moved past that stuff by now; that is probably the better way to handle it by going back in the locker room than to make a spectacle of it for the sparse crowd.

anybody know if they leave during the anthem at other games, or if they needed to make a last minute team adjustment last night?
