Opening line: SEMO PK total 146

Line now at SEMO -2 1/2 total 144 1/2

Earley is most likely out for this game. I liked our chances if we were at full strength but I think Earley is a big loss.

FYI
A lot of handicappers and most schools use KenPom as a stats reference. They are about as good as there is. They also predict the final score of every game for the remainder of the year. The opening line that Vegas puts out is usually within 1 or 2 points of what KenPom has. Like our game at Morehead. KenPom has SEMO winning 73-72. KenPom also has SEMO winning all the rest of their conference games except the last one at SIU-E. These stats are all redone after each days games are finished. So the figures can change. At this time of year everyone uses conference only stats. What a team did in November has no bearing on how they are preforming now.

Interesting stuff there. Thanks for the info

RE: MOREHEAD
Here's some basic per game stats from conference games only
SEMO MORE
FG% 47 46
3PT 34 39
FT% 61 78
REB 34 33
AST 16 15
TO 11 12
STL 7 6
BLK 3 4
FLS 22 17
PTS 83 71

Should be a good battle between point guards. Morehead's Mark Freeman can light it up from the outside. Hopefully Russell can control his emotions. If it's a close game, MSU shoots from the charity stripe much better. What was a strength last year for SEMO has become a detriment this year.

RE: MOREHEAD
Horrible news. Besides the loss of Earley (everyone knew about that) we will be without the services of one other important player. Sorry Not posting names of Players missing because of injury or sickness. WE JUST CAN'T CATCH A BREAK!!!!

It's out now. Kolby Clark didn't travel with the team. He is out sick.

RE: MOREHEAD
37 points and 6 assists for Russell, 23 points for Chris Harris and Mason Hanback comes in and gives us 13 good minutes in the post. Nice job on the road without Clark or Earley.

A good comeback win on the road in what is usually a tough place for SEMO!

RE: MOREHEAD
Great road win with a thin bench. Total team effort. I was lamenting the FT% in previous post, but they stepped up and shot 91%, whereas Morehead shot well below their FT avg.

RE: MOREHEAD
That was an exciting & encouraging game to watch, especially knowing we were down two impact players once again. Even though they were sharing duties at the 5 position, halfway through the first half I thought Johnson, Mitchell and Hanback were all going to foul out but they managed to reign it in for a great team win!

RE: MOREHEAD
If you were at the Lindenwood game on Thursday you could tell that something was off with Clark, body language was different and he seemed really tired when he usually is the guy hustling the most, was probably feeling ill that day too. Hopefully whatever bug the team has had going around is just about done, as it seems like every one of them has had it over the last month now.

I noticed that too. As they were walking onto the court to start the game Clark grabbed his stomach and I said to my wife then that I hoped he wasn't sick.
