Good question but I doubt he would have used the JMU (and one SBC) graphics in his announcement if that wasn't the case.

I don't blame him, really. That wasn't what he really wanted to do. He really wanted to go NFL. For some reason, it didn't look likely and his best move was to use the year of eligibility he had left.
I remember him being asked about it at the end of the season. He really seemed to be treating it as his senior season and had his mind set on that.

If he has a great season and can stay healthy, I would say he has a really good shot of being drafted.
Our defensive line is going to give opposing teams nightmares.

-2019 medical redshirt freshman (missed entire season due to injury).
-2020/21 extra covid year freshman (missed entire season due to injury).

-2022 6th yr Junior: started every game/1st team All SBC/CFN Honorable Mention AA.
-2023 7th yr Senior

Youngster...has nothing on Cam McCormick an early enrollee in the spring of 2016 TE that was granted a 9th year of eligibility. He was through 4 head coaches in 7 seasons at Oregon, just jumped into the portal and still has 2 seasons of eligibility remaining. Wonder if he's holding on until a son can play with him?
