RE: Final FCS Polls
I can't wait for next year. I think it could be a very special year. I just wish I knew more about our offensive and defensive lines. How many returners? How much experience? etc.....

Looks like 8 starters returning on defense, and they seem to be VERY happy with the Western Ill transfer as a DE. Haven't heard much about the OLine and if they are worried about it too much.

RE: Final FCS Polls
Offensive Line based on roster and depth chart:
Starters LT Terry Clark, LG Shyron Rodgers, and RT Nate Korte have all played 5 years.
Backup Tackle Phillip Wilder transferred to Cincinnati.
Starting C Zack Gieg (Rimington Award Winner) is returning.
Starting RG Kobe Sixkiller was listed as a Sophomore.
Backups Clive Truschel and Will Christopher were listed as Seniors but may have a year remaining.
Backup A J Laux was listed as a Junior.
There were 7 Freshman or Redshirt Freshman offensive linemen on the 2022 roster who were not on the depth chart.
The signing class includes 2 JUCO transfers and 3 high school seniors.

Thanks, Does anyone know who our money game is next year? We should be getting SIU at home. We could very easily be a top 10 team next year.

W. Illinois had 21 players enter the portal.

Sam Cook is the transfer from Western Illinois. Last year at WIU he finished the season with 60 tackles, 6 TFL, 2 sacks and 1 INT. He entered the transfer portal 3 weeks before signing day and had SEMO, SIU, Ball State, Delaware, Illinois State and Eastern Kentucky all trying to sign him within a day of him entering the portal. He chose SEMO over an FBS program and four name brand FCS programs so he should be a good addition.

I can't see all 12 or 14 teams ahead of them bringing as many key players back combined with a good recruiting class like SEMO. I think they should open the season around #10 or 11 next season.

It's hard to imagine him as a defensive lineman. He's listed on the WIU web site as 6'4" 217 lb.

Was DE at WIU, SEMO release at his commitment lists him as an Outside Linebacker.

Edge rusher. Guessing he'll play some OLB and some DE depending on the set, circumstances.

In thr Redhawks 3-4 defense I am sure he will play Outside Linebacker.

RE: Final FCS Polls
The offensive line has typically been very solid under Tuke so I am too worried about that. Replacing King's production and the defense will be the biggest question marks to me. If we want to be able to win a couple playoff games the defense has to take a step IMO.
