Markets and academics are the only real thing that matters and we have both. We ARE New Orleans and our academics are top notch. A big victory yesterday is just a feather in our very large cap. I would say we now move to the top of the list for most attractive program. The Big 12, ACC, PAC 12, and maybe even Big Ten are probably fighting over us right now. If you don’t believe Tulane is the hottest property in college sports right now then you truly don’t know how the world works. We are the future of college athletics, get on board or get out of our way.

Congratulations, Tulane. Keep wrecking your opponents' weekends. Good things will happen.

04-cheers

Spoken like a true homer. I was especially amused by the bolded sentence.

Never interrupt champagne while it's still being poured. Just fill your own glass and clink.

Pros:
- New Orleans is a Top50 TV Market
- AAU Member
- NY6 Bowl Victory
- New Stadium

Cons:
- Small fan base
- Inconsistent Viewership

They need to improve their tv viewership consistency. This is really the first season where they drew in decent tv numbers and even then it was hit or miss.

Tulane isn't a young and upcoming program. It has a stigma of not being serious about sports to fight against. Their decision to leave the SEC has proven to be a costly mistake. That kind of Legacy doesn't disappear after 1 season.

As to your pros:

1) True
2) Irrelevant
3) it was ONE GAME!
4) Feether in caps

You know, I've been congratulating Tulane for the Cotton Bowl victory but this level of delusion has me wondering if I should be rooting for Tulane and it's fans/alumni

No kidding, complimenting Tulane is like encouraging a social outcast that then in turn becomes arrogant and conceited.

All I see is legit swagger. Festive confidence.

I see no eagerness to express contempt for or wish doom on others--unlike so many other posts we get around here. And FYI: Tulane is a distinguished university, not an 'outcast.'

Champagne has been popped. Chill and serve.
