New Press/ VIP BOX is about half done. Will be ready by August--along with brand new turf for the football field.

Soon after full construction begins on the IPF.

That will be a nice addition.

Architect for Bowers Stadium pressbox renovation has been decided. Goal is to play at Bowers through construction in 2025, competed before 2026.

Construction on visitors locker rooms has began.

Track removal, expansion of seating still planned down the line.

Y'all got a rendering?
This shows the renovated press box, which will be ready to go in 2026

This one is a bit less detailed, but pages 17-19 of the new masterplan show the future athletic campus construction… stadium’s south endzone will be bowled in with IPF eventually added in opposite

These plans have been in drawing for a very long time, have had a couple different renderings released over the years. Can finally get going now with $45m in bonds.

Very nice. The work MT has done/plans on doing to their stadium is fantastic. That facility is big time, should look great overlooking the end zone.

Sam Houston State announced earlier that they will begin removing the track at Bowers NEXT WEEK! Glad it’s going. It was well beyond its useful life (think it was 17 years old!) and was a complete eyesore. One of many updates coming to our facility that’s long overdue.

IF I'm correct the picture in this link shows the "before" image of that stadium part.

On the end zone Opposite the scoreboard--the top level of seating has been removed.

Looks like they left about 95% of the "corner" section--which is good IMO.

Congratulations! Hope you can get your attendance back up to like it was in the past.

I have to say that's pretty impressive and moves Floyd Stadium back up the list as one of the best FB stadiums in CUSA.

I know there will probably be a small amount of seating in the new sructure-- Do MT fans know what the New capacity will be once completed? Before this latest change it seated 30,788.

You are correct. They took out the upper deck on that side of the stadium. The corner is staying which wasn’t my preference but it’s growing on me. I think we will see a big bump in attendance this season assuming we don’t tank. They are also replacing the video board this summer which is LONG overdue. They haven’t said an exact number but it’s likely to go down to around 27-28k capacity.
