Louisiana had a pretty solid class signing 22. I’m very excited.

App State signed a former Louisiana commit, forgot which class. Kason Boston was the name I believe. One of Napier's guys who had to go JuCo. Ironic considering the onus behind going big along the lines for App came after App's two losses to Louisiana in 2021.

Signed five or six guys in this class who are 6'4 to 6'6 at defensive end.

A lot of App people are excited as well. Personally, once I found out he was a Napier pick from the middle of his tenure I got a bit giddy. Napier didn't miss much, or his staff. App now has Kason (who was committed to Louisiana) and Andrew Parker who is from New Orleans and played at Arkansas.

Seems Clark saw the same thing I saw in 2020 and 2021 and it's that there is a lot of untapped talent in Louisiana of kids who are big and fast, yet fall to the G5 level. Can't help but feel like the same kids in Florida would get a lot more attention.

The entirety of the Sun Belt's average recruit ranking is much, much higher than it was a few years ago with most around 82 to 84.

Huge concern for Coastal with Chadwell's departure. Five recruits in early signing, huge departures from the roster. Feeling worried for the Beach Chickens who I've grown an affinity for disliking. I will say that the last time a Sun Belt East team hired NC State's OC they went 13-1 and should've got the NY6 bid though.

As expected with a brand new staff. I'm optimistic about the new hires thus far though, as they all seem to be solid. It appears that we are hitting the portal hard.

I just wonder why Chadwell left for Liberty. I get that it's more money but it is odd considering his stock seemed to be at the point where the ACC would be a very real possibility. Sanctions coming?

Maybe he felt his own clock ticking. With McCall's collegiate future being uncertain, he was likely on a mission to capitalize and get paid. Liberty happened to be the highest bidder. I know he interviewed for Georgia Tech. The rumored snag there revolved around him not being able to bring the staff he wanted. Then I think it may have came down to Liberty and South Florida. Obviously, USF wasn't paying him $4M dollars/yr for 7 years. You take away an exceptional QB, and he is still very much a wildcard at the FBS level.

Many have been studying him and Korn's offense closely for at least three years now. We'll see if things evolve enough to keep the "unique" factor that has been beneficial. It'll also be interesting to see how things go without a perfect fit like McCall. You've seen how Coastal's backups have developed in his system. It wasn't pretty.
