RE: Dear Eastern Michigan
MacLord was only a fresh-faced Young MacLord when he watched the 1987 California Bowl, then the only MAC bowl possibility. A kid at school and I had picked all the Bowl results, and he said there was no way EMU would win. When the Hurons won in a shootout, I called him and shouted “Hurons!!” on his answering machine. He was with a girl at the time, and said I killed the mood. I digress… Took all these years, Hurons became Eagles, many bad EMU teams, but this is why I’ll never feel Creighton is overrated. Great win today for the MAC. Mountain West? MAC is best! Congrats Eagles!

I'm sure Ken stood atop of a mountain there in Boise and laid loose on the EMU horn loudly after the win!

33 unanswered points after SJSU was about to be up 14-0.

Thanks gents! I’m experiencing my first bowl win as an adult; I’m so happy I don’t know what to do with myself. : )

RE: Dear Eastern Michigan
Thanks for the love MAC fans! I was an EMU student in 1987, our last bowl win. I would love for the MAC to find a way to capitalize on the 2022 bowl season results. Our conference needs to find a way to get a piece of the huge money pie that the P5 keep to themselves. It probably starts with the ADs banding together and brainstorming to come up with a plan. The MAC has very, very good football!!

Well, the points were answered, but they were consecutive.

I suppose you could say 30 of the points were unanswered but the next 3 were answered.

Yeah, at the point of them scoring 33 unanswered. But yes, they ended up answering after.
