I tip my hat to the 11 fine young men who restrained from punching that ref and the other ones who didn’t correct that horrific call.

As bad as that call may have been, there is no call- nor will there ever be one- in the history of football that will come close to the no-call PI a few years ago that cost Brees his second Super Bowl ring and gave Brady his final one with the Patriots. 2 referees were staring straight at that play and neither threw a flag, proving to the whole world that NFL games are fixed.

Maybe they thought the blue scrimmage line was the endzone?

I don’t know. That was horrible, but the ball carrier is laying flat on the one yard with a defensive dude literally standing in the field of play between him and the goal line. You have a video angle that is exactly where the ref that called it a TD was standing.

NFL players have a chance of winning a Super Bowl every season they play, so 5, 10, 15, even 20 opportunities. HS championships, unless you are at some HS powerhouse that recruits players, is a timeless accomplishment and something most players only have 3 shots at on varsity.

The ball crossed the plane…of the two yard line.

Gentlemen call that a gimme in golf. I have no problem with this. 07-coffee3
