At the end point, it boiled down to Palin v the Democrat. And Palin lost because the voters who voted for the middle of the road Republican who got bounced wouldnt pull their second choice for Palin.

That loss is on Palin and no one else.

Republicans received over 60% of the vote. If the other Republican doesn't run, Palin wins and vice versa. Stupid form of election.

Was Palin the second vote? If not, she did not get them. If she was not the third choice and the Dem they choose? Than she did not get those eithers. You can't say all the Republicans would have voted for her. If those Republicans voted for the other R instead of Palin and choose the D? It would be hard for Palin to overcome that. Lisa was smart because she knows that Democrat voters will vote for her to keep unsuitable candidates from winning and that the Dems could take control of Alaska. Lets not forget, we had a lot of Republicans like her, Liz Chaney, the McCains and others champaigning for Dems this cycle which worked.
