If true, I'm done with Satterfield. No problem with upward mobility (this would NOT be upward), but you can't do a good job while constantly looking for a new job.

UC is definitely a better job than UofL. Let’s play the bowl game at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy and not in the cold and snow in Boston! 50,000 fans much better than 5600. Louisville can leave its recruiting class in Cincinnati as well since we just lost a bunch of ours to Wisconsin.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings. Are there legit warts or does both Coach Satterfield and the Louisville football program need a change of scenery? I'll be watching the hire presser at 1 PM today for sure.

A bad hire by Cincinnati. They must have missed at several candidates. A great escape for Louisville, but at the cost of terrible timing.

Satterfield thinks so.

Satterfield asked for more money and an extension. UofL AD correctly said no. So he took his ball went to UC.
Its a better fit there, not as much pressure as there is here.

UofL fans are not sad to see him go. But players are upset with him since he didnt even tell them he was leaving, even former players are trashing him on twitter.

He took us from an abysmal situation to a mediocre one. UofL needs a coach to take them higher and he wasnt it.

As for the Orphan Bowl [aka Fenway bowl], I think the OC Lance Taylor will get the nod as interim head coach, or DC Bryan Brown.
Our top RB just declared for the NFL so he wont be there. Will be curious to see how that turns out, UC has a good team.

In the intro presser Coach Satterfield stated he is not going to be involved in any manner in the bowl game. That is the right call based on the team he is leaving and the one he is joining. Our ST coach Kerry Coombs was previously named as interim and will remain in that role.

Deion Branch was named our interim for the bowl game. Former WR for us and NE Patriots.

I have no ill-will towards Cincy. I miss that rivalry game and would love to see it renewed on a regular basis.
Wonder if the Keg-o-Nails will be up for grabs, dont care about the Fenway trophy, Keg-o-Nails is the real deal!
