Dukes are playing with a lot of fight on defense, but not a lot of poise on offense. They are taking all the shots UVA wants them to take which is what UVA does to most teams. Not a surprise there. Still within striking distance and I’m surprised Byington waited until late in the first half to press.

Some questionable calls on both sides of the ball but that might be because Mark Byington's best friend "Mr. T" Jamie Luckie is officiating. I guess Dunn staring down a JMU defender after a poster isn't a tech to him but yelling and-1 is.

I have no problem with letting that go. I like when refs arent looking for things, but... HOW THE HELL DOES LUCKIE STILL HAVE A JOB?????!!!!!

And there is no way he should be allowed anywhere near us.

Beekman’s early injury helps the Dukes. Doesn’t look like he is warming up after halftime and maybe the press can create some offense with him out.

Happy to see Big Shot Tak come out aggressive and get us 6 points early to start the second half.

Im honestly confused at our offense. As someone who played basketball all their life (don't worry never a D1 athlete) we were strictly taught to get the ball inside the paint and NOT to shoot unless we had good looks.

We are always our own worst enemy on offense.

So many missed open shots. So many unforced out of control turnovers.

Just sloppy and so, so correctable.

Not sure how we're only down by 6 right now

We’re outmatched in the post from a physical standpoint. It’s hard to feed the post against Bennet’s Defense with an undersized front court. We can’t hit anything against their long bigs.

I’m sure Byington would love to attack the basket as we often do when we have the athletic advantage.
