But wait, how many future NFLers are on Florida's roster? Shouldn't they get in the playoffs? I bet Florida has more than anybody in the SEC except Georgia, Alabama and LSU and possibly that other SEC power this year, Texas A&M, who finished last in the west. I guarantee Florida has more than South Carolina and Kentucky who finished ahead of them.

That settles it, based upon talent we have reworked the CFP, new matchups are

1 Georgia vs 4 A&M
2 bama vs 3 UF

Some people complained that Tennessee was left out, but their QB lost his ACL so their talent dropped off too much.

USC will have a slightly better ranking than Washington, they'll probably end up in the Cotton.

This is a tough one for the Pac. On the one hand they haven't been to the Playoff in years, and a USC win gives them that. On the other hand one of the departers just got smoked on National TV with everybody watching. I'd call it overall a win for the Pac.

The positive of SC losing is that it will shut them up. The SC fans have been trash talking and enjoying themselves the past few weeks. You know, the "We Are SC" chants. I think at 11-2 they should land a Cotton Bowl berth. But nobody in the Pac-12 feels bad for SC.

No tears shed nationwide by Irish fans last night, either.

SC won one game in the last five vs. ND but from their fans you would think it was the reverse.

Southern Cal's who game this season was relying on Caleb Williams being Superman.

When he was hobbled, the Trojans were done.

Exactly. USC is not finished with their rebuild, and wouldn't have been at 11-1 in the first place without having Caleb Williams as such a good runner and good passer out of the pocket. When he hurt his hamstring, they had no Plan B to turn to.

It felt like so many pundits expected USC to be elite-level this season. At times, it showed. To Utah, meh. I listened to a radio show on Thursday night that discusses betting, and the guy they had on, who's usually quite good, just couldn't go in on Utah for this game. Too much of a toss up for the spread and totals. Like, it was known USC's defense was not going to win you games. It was more like, could the USC offense be slowed down enough. Well, yes it could.

As much as I didn't want the Buckeyes to get into the playoffs, it was really hard to root for USC last night. Hoping TCU wins today. If the Bucks get past UGA, I'll have to accept the rematch. Yes, I'm assuming wins by the Dawgs and Wolverines today.

I get your point, but IMO the real loser was still USC. They had the conference title, a CFP berth, and the Heisman on the line last night, and likely lost all of them.
