It's about damn time...

Richmond started strong this season, with two wins, but have gone 1-4 since, including the 90-67 beatdown from a good Toledo team last night. 6' 7" Forward Tyler Burton is still the main man for them (17.4 ppg), getting help from PG Jason Nelson (11.9 ppg) and Wofford transfer Isaiah Bigelow (10.4 ppg).

They like to play some pressure defense, and after seeing tape of our NC State performance, they probably will.


As for the "surprise" uni's... it looks like they will be the Grays, with green/white trim.

Hopefully Matt Grace is still not back from his knee injury.

Richmond has shown the ability to slowly come back from large deficits, only to succumb.

Need to chase Roche off the arc, make Burton force shots and force TO's when he puts the ball on the floor, unsettle RS freshman PG Nelson into TO's, and push Quinn off the block.

Let's hope they are a little travel weary and their rust continues coming out of a weeklong break, and maybe we'll get a confidence boosting win for this group. For God's sake play with intensity and protect your home court. Go Tribe!

It seems like we've been doing a lot of these, but I wish we used more yellow. I think gray/yellow has more pop than gray/dark green.

I wonder if we'll still do gold rush uniforms/have 4 uniform options this year?

Anyone tell the basketball team that gray unions are the only thing standing between our football team and an undefeated season?

Yep, I almost had a heart attack when TDenverFan said we were gray tomorrow.

Going out on a limb here... The color of our uniform will have no effect on a win or loss Saturday evening.

Party pooper. The bad thing is that if MBB wins wearing gray then they might wear them the rest of the year (although that would be great if the team then won the rest of the year).

If anyone else was at the last Richmond game, at the Robins Center in 2014, it was the greatest perfomance by a Tribe player I have ever seen, as Marcus went 14/18 from the field and 8/11 from beyond the arc. He was absolutely unguardable that night despite the loss, 68-67, that we had several chances to win. In the last minute, Marcus had a rare go ahead 3 point miss, and Omar missed the front end of a 1 and 1. Painful reminder of how that Delaware game ended at the prior season's end. Tarpey played either sick or with an ankle injury and was not able to give a typical Tarpey performance. Otherwise, I think we would have won that game comfortably. All spectators, both Tribe and Spiders, were awe struck by play after spectacular play by Thornton.

We owe Richmond bad....I hope this team understands the history and alum sentiment, and that all of the football crowd will stay for this game and bring the energy. Go Tribe!

Both teams shooting well early...when they can get a shot off. Already 5 shot clock violations.

Tribe continues to play good D. It has caused 3 TO's and 3 shot clock violations so far.
