Good for FAU, I think they got an excellent coach! Texas is the devil's job, yet Herman has still never had a losing season as Head Coach. I'm surprised he didn't get a P5 job, but Lane Kiffin showed you certainly can win at FAU.

I can see Auburn going with Freeze. Not saying I agree with it, but he has Saban's number and that should count for more at Auburn than anywhere else. Just like how Gary Patterson did extremely well against Texas, which counts for a whole lot (on top of his other successes), but it would count for even more at A&M or OU. As for GT? I don't know, but I'm not sure he was ever even on their radar.

Good hire for sure for FAU. He'll do well then be back in the P5 in a few years.
