What if UCF was a hosting team, it can sell the hosting rights to Florida Citrus Sports (aka Citrus Bowl).
The Game stays in Orlando and gets a higher capacity stadium with Camping World Stadium.
UCF gets paid upfront without having to worry about selling tickets or concessions.

Or, another option.

Jack up the CFP ticket prices at (looks it up) FBC Mortgage Stadium — except for UCF season-ticket holding fans and students. IOW, reward your most loyal customers.

Have a pre-existing arrangement whereby the Orlando Tourism folks kick in a nice chuck of change for the "x,xxx number" of visiting fans in town.

Don't bother with any costs and hassles of renting Camping World Stadium. Let your own stadium staff and crew get paid for what they already do seven times a season.

Stadium is still too small

44k UCF's Stadium Capacity
27k in UCF Season Ticket Sales in 2022
12k in Student Ticket Allotment in 2022

5k Tickets to Sell.... at Full price

For comparison, UCF vs UF in the Gasparilla bowl sold out 63k

I feel like the expectation for these CFP games is at least 60k

Houston and Cincy's On Campus Stadiums are only 40k and they both have Pro Stadiums available in their back yard.

Yeah, those 2 are easy. But what about Baylor? I'd guess Jerry world. Texas Tech? 60k is pretty light, I might play that one at Jerry World, too. Iowa State? It's 3 hrs to Minneapolis, they'd probably enjoy playing in a Dome there in December and/or January, but that one could go either way. But for Boise? It's 8 hrs to get anywhere, but 36k seats isn't enough for a Playoff game against Texas A&M, OU or Notre Dame. It's a little under 6 hrs to Provo, that's probably the closest quality stadium with 63k capacity. That's a tough one for them.

Texas Tech would probably hold the game in Lubbock. Baylor would probably hold the game in Waco.

The Idaho Potato Bowl is held at Boise's stadium in mid-December, the same weekend as the Round 1 games scheduled for 2024 and 2025. Though Boise might choose to hold the game in Vegas, Salt Lake City, or California, Boise would be well within its rights to simply host the game on the Smurf Turf.
