Week 12: Western Kentucky at Auburn (SEC Network)
17-17 right now. Would like to see WKU win after they had Indiana beat earlier this year.

WKU started out shaky but have started to clean things up. Hopefully we can pull this game out, WKU has a bad habit of giving big games away

No moral victories here but still a well played game by Western.

I stopped watching about 1/2 way through the 4th quarter.

I would've been content with a close loss if we made them earn the victory. Looked good in the first half especially on the defensive side.
The second half was a different story, for numerous reasons. Reed was off, receivers dropped passes, the defense was gassed and of course some questionable play calls.
Auburn is a very average SEC team this season which should mean a good CUSA team should go down there and make a game out of it at least, but we failed.

RE: Week 12: Western Kentucky at Auburn (SEC Network)
I know the signs and for the first time, this year, that I can recall, other than the Marshall, game with Piggy, as QB, I just walk away or turn the games off. I sit through Boy Idiot games because it was only 2 seasons but can't do that with Helton...
2 hour round trip drive and I left after the third Western drive (early 2nd qt) in the UNT game. Left early 3rd of the UAB game and it took the defense 4 turnovers to get a close win. I turned this game off after the 2nd Western possession after halftime. Cannot even sit through a game with this coach and the fact a team that scored 45ppg with Zappe as QB had 5 losses is a telling sign.
As most Western fans know I'm not usually a give up fan, hell I've drove all over this country, watching Western football. I can not deal with this coach and though it was the wrong hire from the get go....
Todd (Western AD) passed on him two years earlier because he didn't believe he was the correct hire. In those 2 years he ran the Tenn offense into the ground with boring safe running the same 4 plays play calling. It was a knee jerk reaction because Todd made a very stupid hire in Boy Idiot and this one was just as bad.
One call to Brohm and he would have told Todd who was running and calling that offense. One look at Tenn. would have proven it out. The only reason this is not a .500 season or worse....bottom 5 schedule and 3, maybe 4 of the 5 losses are a direct result of the head coach.
There is nothing worse than and average to slightly above average coach in sports....a really bad coach you fire. A average coach kills fan support because they hang around year after year after year. But I have very little faith the Western AD would make the correct hire even if Helton was let go.
Western is slowly becoming MTSU

You've got a loooong way to go. Imagine feeling how you're feeling for 17 years.
I, too, knew that the Stockstill hire was the wrong hire from the get-go.
