A brighter future for Coal Country?
Anybody know more about this process and if it is used successfully elsewhere? On the face of it, it sounds awesome if we can really get rare earth minerals from coal waste and lessen China's dominance in that sector. Would be great to see this work out and boom for WV and other historically coal-reliant states -

Yes, from what I've learned, this is true. Altho it's always reported that all those rare earth materials are only in China, that's not exactly true. The materials are found in numerous locations, the issue is that China has invested vast amounts of money over the years on the industry to find and process the minerals. The US hasn't...yet.
