Could have used this version of Emoni Bates on this year's team.

It is still early yet and we didn't need the headache.

That said I wish the kid well, but he is not a team player, too selfish.

The kid was a cancer here, so I’m happy he’s found a better situation for him to shine.

He had the perfect spot this year on our team unlike last year when we had a back log of players at the same position

I watched part of that game. lol Emoni got T'd up for taunting --no biggee. Emoni was bitchin at some of his other teammates when they didn't do what he wanted ....not a particularly good sign

But He's a young shooter/player, for sure, and has the potential for great things.

He still wears his hair like Ja, btw..

long story short, I'm very glad he's legal issues got straightened out and he's playing this year, But I'm mostly glad he's repping HIS home town.

he lost the game, btw

I wish him well. He didn't seem to mesh well here. He's now back playing in his hometown of Ypsilanti just outside Detroit.

He scored 30 points. They lost. So the ball hog at the expense of teammates continues.

Maybe his season at Memphis taught him some things about the game he needed to improve on…

Nahhh…. 03-lmfao

That’s the same version we had. Look at those shots. He happened to make them but the vast majority of those makes are horrible shot selection.

RE: NTR...Bates
Deandre talked after the Vandy game about team chemistry being better this year. He said it was nice that no one on the bench was complaining about playing time the other night. Didn't call out Emoni, Landers, and Tyler by name - but...

Seems like every year we hear about the chemistry being better……. Until the first bad loss

You are exactly right. Nobody else was going to be able to score. You can't do that when there are other very good options to score on your team. The shots are a lot harder to make when there are major repercussions when you don't make them.

I have never heard that; not once. Exactly the opposite.
