It would take a turnover and a small miracle at this point, so still hopeful.

ND's punter is probably their offensive MVP in the 2nd half.

Kept fighting to the end and that is all one can ask.

Good game ND and on to UCF.

I'm sorry that was where you came in...

We scored to make it 21-13, 7:49 left in the half. Okay, a stop, a score, and the ball in the 3rd Q. We tried a WTF onside kick...what are we thinking?!?
Before their kick, "hey, a FG is almost a stop." MISS! That is a stop!
Then we try that razzle dazzle...there were two receivers possibly open and, yeah, great play by the ND back for the INT, but why that too-much playcall!
After the score and 3 and out, 1:10 left, I said to section 525 "Get the safeties back, theyre throwing it to the end zone this snap."

From one score down or maybe better to a three score halftime deficit.

With how the second half went, that swing at the end of the first half was brutal.

I just watched the postgame presser. After Coach Niumat's initial remarks, first question was Wags, what about that sequence at the end of the first half. Coach said he probably was to aggresive with that trick play call, probably should have tried to run the offense more, but he felt he needed to pull something out.
No discussion of the onside kick choice but I expect it would have been a similar answer

While I appreciate the support, it'll be a tall task.

We need ND to be doing classic trap game, post-Clemson let down things.
We need to run the offense well, killing clock. That's conceivable but far from a given.
We need to convert drives into points -- that's been the weak point all season.

And then maybe something like in our 2016 win, when Brian Kelly kicked a field goal down four with 7:30 left...and we never let them have the ball again.

Run defense is what I want to see from Navy. ND does not have a passing game. I understand your point but I believe Navy can do this.

Go Navy.
Held them to 88 yards rushing
Outgained them overall

I think I heard 166 yards to 12 in the second half.

That two score swing at the end of the first half...

Coach Ken has seemed to swing between overly conservative and overly aggressive (often with gadget plays) this year. To me it says he doesn't trust the offense to be effective running our base set. Maybe he is right, IDK.

Missing the catch on third and goal In the 3rd QTR was very big as well. Hit the FG (hooray) but catch that and those 4 extra points put us ahead at the end.

I am proud of the effort but wish we were seeing better end result.

Attendance was 62,124

That's at least a $5 million dollar gate -- my tickets via season tickets were $80 face, and those were in the 500 level.
We'll pay ND their visitors' gate of $1 million out of that. Just like they paid us $1 million from SouthBend last year. (I have no idea what Dublin arrangements will be)

I paid $49.50 for parking but that may go completely to the Ravens.

"Game presented by Navy Federal Credit Union and Navy Mutual Aid Association" was all over the stadium and video boards. I don't know what we got for that.

Xavier Airline emerged as a proficient triple option QB.
That's what has been lacking in Navy's offense.
It made the O-line more effective.
His passing, though infrequent, was better than expected.
Now, if X can just stay healthy...

I was wrong about the ND passing game but am impressed with the Navy's rushing defense. 66 yards according to ESPiN. I saw Navy was ranked 6th in the nation. UCF better pay attention to this stat. It was a good try at the comeback.

Yes, I have been pleasantly surprised by his playing so far. Hopefully he can stay healthy and keep improving...
