What’s the reaction if FAU loses to one of FIU/MTSU game and fails to make a bowl at the end of the season as a result?

It will be the repeat of the last season, when FAU lost the last 4 games and dropped to 5-7. I think many in our fan base want Taggart gone.

Unfortunately FAU will lose one or maybe these last 3 games but I agree with Goliath; most fans want Taggart gone.

Not a Taggart fan but I disagree. Two worst teams in the conference on the road and WKY at home, we could win out.
We’ll see.

I would not be surprised if FIU wins this one. They are playing better and Mike MacIntyre is ending some bad streaks.

Expecting FAU to win but might not be as easy of an out this season. It warms my heart to see the two worst FBS teams as of late, FIU and UConn, get head coaches that can build some momentum and win some games. Even if FIU misses a bowl this season, I’d say they’ve done spectacular.

Nice little summary...but for accuracy purposes, FIU only has won 4 times since they cheated 1 year, and that "win" was vacated by the NCAA.

I get it and you are right but they won the game that night on the field. That's why I count it.
I hope to see you there wearing red.

I think we lose today and beat FAU. It’s what Stock does. Never makes any sense.

I can confirm FAU is much better than FIU. Nothing short of an absolute beat down so far. Not a single first down for FIU, although James just over threw what would have been a TD. Just really bad football.

I can confirm too and it has been the story for years. Not sure why FAU always beats FIU but even when FIU was up 7 years ago, FAU would beat them.
It could be recruiting, better resources, better fan support... not sure.
Final Score today: FAU 52 - FIU 7
We will see you in 2024.

I think the beat downs could get worse, if that’s possible.

Difficult to say. FIU has invested so little in sports to this point and made so many poor coaching hires under the previous AD. Things have been a mess in athletics. Meanwhile, at FAU the football program quickly made a splash hiring Schnellenberger to start the program and later made a home run hire in Kiffin.
The new AD, Scott Carr seems a lot better and we could quickly see the contests getting more competitive under the guidance of a better AD. FIU is still a strong public university and well respected university in Florida, probably next in stature behind UF, FSU, UCF, and USF. The main thing FAU has done better is invest a bit more in athletics and hire better coaches. This could quickly change under different leadership. We’ll just have to see.

The worst decision FIU ever made was firing Cristobal.

The move to the AAC will bring better recruits to FAU, more money and it will attract better coaches.
The culture at FIU won't allow the football program to get better. No matter what AD or coach they bring. It is just my opinion
