RE: 2022-23 women's basketball
I’m a little late to the party but I just saw our previous women’s coach Danielle O’Banion is now the head coach at Loyola Maryland. Her first two years are 5-24 and 10-21. I suppose everybody deserves a second chance. Doesn’t look very good to date.

Interesting. I thought her 4 year record at KSU (21-98 .176) was horrible so her 15-45 .250 record at Loyola is actually an improvement. Going 36-143 and barely winning 20% (.201) is pretty bad. I don’t recall this interesting tidbit:

Quote:In between her two stops at Memphis, O’Banion spent four seasons as head coach at Kent State. She restored roster stability to the program, signing 17 players overall with four going on to play professionally. O’Banion was also active in fundraising, helping secure the largest-ever financial gift to the program.

Mike McKee is no longer an assistant coach at Kent State. An opportunity has came up to allow him to spend more time with family. He will be staying in Kent.

Thank you Mike. McKee for threeeeee!

What’s with our non-conference home schedule.

Muskingum (exhibition)
Coppin St.
Lake Erie College
LaRoche

At least as a season ticket holder I get e-mails from Starkey!!!

Terrible they couldn’t fill the schedule out with better options.

This must be a typo. I bet the typesetter mixed it up with Hiram College just up the road from Division 1 , Kent St.

KSU has larger lecture halls than the enrollment of some of these powerhouses

I did miss a February 10th non-conference game against a TBD Sun Belt opponent. Helps a bit.
