That’s an important stat.

If only we had knocked down that Hail Mary. We might be close to cracking the top 25 ourselves and would be 7-1. I’ll take 6-2 though with 4 games left. I feel we can win all 4 games but also feel anyone of those 4 teams can still beat us if we can’t get anything offensive going.

I agree. We have the ability to win the next four, but I wouldn't be surprised if in typical Troy fashion we slip up somewhere along the way. Very glad we now have a bye week to recover and maybe get a little rest before getting back to business. Hopefully the bye week doesn't allow for the team to get lazy. But from what I've seen of Sumrall, I don't see that happening. Listening to him when he talks to the team makes me want to suit up and get out there and play ball. That man can fire a team up.

The Sun Belt never had a shot anyway. Cincinnati is somehow ranked 21st, and TULANE, the same TULANE that lost to Southerm Miss, convincingly, is ranked. They upset Kansas State and haven't really beaten anyone that I know of with a winning record since then.
I think JMU, App, Coastal, Troy, South Alabama, Southern Miss, and maybe even Louisiana are all better than Tulane, yet they are ranked, why?

It just doesn't let up. Troy currently has the 20th-ranked Strength of Schedule in the nation based on Opponent Win Percentage.
Troy's opponents are 30-16 overall.

Especially on the defensive side. Something to think about: ESPN's FPI rates the defenses of our last five opponents at 18th, 34th, 37th, 42nd, 53rd nationally. Ole Miss is rated at 45th. Troy hasn't had a chance to get into any kind of groove on offense all season. The line is playing better and the running backs are running great, but QB play has been lacking. This week against Louisiana will be more of the same if the QBs can't get something going.
