Fan enthusiasm is great, but OU has lost at least 2 games every year since 2004. In fact, they're only lost fewer than 2 games twice since 1988. If they hadn't won that title with Stoops 20 yrs ago, you could say they've been the poster child of "good but not great".

Usually 1 of those 2 losses is in a bowl game. Here we have an Oklahoma team with 2 losses and they haven’t even played the RRR. By January, Oklahoma will not be a 2 loss team.

There’s room for a legit debate on storming the field — is it ever acceptable? If so, when? etc.

But what on earth is the point of a $50k fine? That just makes the “offense” seem trivial and unimportant.

I think they fined Tech, so they have to be consistent. A bank in Lubbock paid the fine.

The problem is that they stormed the field because they beat UT and OU.

I thought it was weird enough when Texas Tech stormed the field after beating Texas, but at least that was an in state team.

I wonder if they're storming the field because of Texas and OU's departure to the SEC. I don't remember hearing any stories about Big 12 teams storming the field after wins over Texas and OU before this year.

I think having the opportunity to pay it is exciting.

It's funny because Clemson defense was atrocious in the playoff games towards the latter half of his tenure there.

Hopefully you're right. But teams like Oklahoma and Notre Dame always seem to go on large winning streaks.

There's no defense in CFB anymore and there really never was in Big 12. It's basically basketball.on grass now.

Yeah, I have not heard if Kansas is to be fined after beating ISU, but being able to rush the field after 13 years of horrible football (and still putting a few of those guys into the NFL) is definitely a good thing. Still, a number of KU FB fans feel that, b/c Kansas BB fans do not rush the court except for NCAA championships (and other significant wins), KU fans should not rush the field for individual victories.
