According to the American Automobile Association, gas prices are currently at $3.80 per gallon, which is down from the historic high of $5.01.

Despite the Biden administration’s celebrations over the drop in gas prices, they fail to acknowledge that gas prices are up from last year, which was $3.20, and up from the average gas prices under the tail end of the Trump administration, which according to GasBuddy, a gas price tracking software, was around $2.30 per gallon.

The Biden administration has continued to blame "Putin’s price hike" for the increase in gas prices, stating that gas prices only really started to jump after Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in February of this year.

Yeah. But they think people are buying this bs. Sure some will but the majority will be pushed to the other side.

For the thinking folk, it's more than clear that yes, putting a million barrels of day on the global market from our reserves will of course lead to lower prices at the pump simply because of the increased supply. Is it a significant drop? Who really knows, I doubt it's that much, but the basic laws of supply and demand tell you that of course they will drop.

Additionally, the SPR release doesn't happen in a vacuum. It has nothing at all to do with what Russia does with threatening nuclear weapons use, or OPEC's desire to cut production to keep prices high. Nor does it have anything to do with myraid other factors that effect a global commodity.

So anyone want to point to any new Biden policy, etc. that caused a sudden increase in gas prices? I'd love to hear your analysis...
