RE: Ben Chase attempting to attend 60+ college football games this season
I've been subscribed to his channel after he made an appearance on SEC Network during Week 1. His videos are vlog-style but it's fun to follow the logistics of his trips.
He started in Tucson, slipped over to Las Cruces for Week 0, and has since been on the eastern half of the country.
He's doing this solely driving his van. He isn't flying like others, which makes this unique.

I didn't listen to the video. Does the man have a conventional job and, if so, how is he going to pull this off? His effort suggests a Deadhead taking months to follow The Grateful Dead.
Unless you are wealthy, retired and/or have a job with significant flexibility ... this would be essentially impossible.
But more power to him.

That doesn't sound fun. I feel like more than 1 game in a day would suck. But I assume he's getting paid for this or monetizing the content somehow so good for him?
RE: Ben Chase attempting to attend 60+ college football games this season
There's a few who even do this for HS football too. One guy who details his travel on his website and Twitter has gone to on average 110 games per year for the last decade, except for the COVID season. He's gone to 34 games in eight states so far this year.

Bill,
There are lots of YouTubers who have essentially their own small business and live off their channel's viewership. Every view, or every few views, gets a little money if the channel is monetized. They sometimes do their own promotions mid video, and then there are the automatic ads that load mid video. These people often get money from Patreom support.
I follow a few channels that aren't even sports related and give like $5.00 a month because I like what they do so much.
So I'm sure this person has this as his job in and of itself.

Sykotyk? I love that guy's work!
He's not on YouTube, but I follow him on Twitter and sometimes catch his website. He lives on the OH/PA border, somewhere around Youngstown. He travels a lot for work, and catches HS games where his work takes him. So, this season, he's been to the Dakotas, west Texas, and New Mexico, for sure. He goes to a lot of interesting, out-of-the-way places. He will also go to places on his own dime when his company doesn't send him to the field. The Covid year was interesting, because he was going to states such as New York and Virginia where the season was being played in the spring. And he usually finds a way to make it to the Texas high school championships in December at Jerry World.
He writes for a Pennsylvania high school football website, and only uses the pen name Sykotyk (yep, pronounced psychotic). He's done a great job of keeping himself anonymous. He has a wife, a daughter, and a professional life.
He might actually lurk on this board, for all I know. But based on what I've seen, his main interests are high school football and the Cleveland Browns.

Ahhh. That might explain it, MinR. I didn't think of that scenario. I guess I'm a bit "old school" at age 60 and, as such, "21 century money-making methods" don't register with me.

I'm in my 50's, and I, too, find it hard to believe that a person can make a living off YouTube clicks. But some people do. If they can pull that off, more power to them. If you're creative enough to get someone to come to your YouTube channel, you deserve all you can make off those clicks.

He's mentioned that he's passed the BAR and has money saved up from his last job. He worked in NIL previously. He's said he's keeping things low budget and mainly sleeping in his van. He's also not buying tickets and relying on finding someone to give him one before each game.
The videos are predominantly vlogs of him driving and meeting people at tailgates.

Sounds as if he has a done a strong job of planning and budgeting. Props to the man for that.

He did a double on September 24. Ohio 2:00 PM, Ohio State 7:30.
Assuming 3.5 hours in Athens, it is 1 hour 17 minute drive time to Columbus. So you could be there 6:47 minutes. Given traffic around the stadiums it would have been close.
This week he added the rescheduled game on Wednesday at UCF. He then travels to San Jose State for a Friday night game. Roughly 41 hours driving in 48 hours.
He then has a 3:30 PM game at UCLA and a 10:30 game at San Diego State. 2 hour and 30 minute drive between Rose Bowl and Snapdragon. So perhaps an hour to spare. But it is hard to get out of the Rose Bowl.
I'd guess he would be at the exit on the end of the early game.
To get to 60 he must be counting bowl games. He might be able to hit 5 next week. Marshall is at home on Wednesday and WVU on Thursday. FIU is home on Friday. Then on Saturday Coastal Carolina in the afternoon and ECU at night.
Too bad there isn't something like Uber Express modeled on the Pony Express. Pull into a filling station to refill, while fan hits the restroom. Food is onboarded, and new driver takes over for the next 8 hours/500 miles.
RE: Ben Chase attempting to attend 60+ college football games this season
Tech and ULM (30 miles apart) play at home on the same dates at least twice in the rest of this season, but you wouldn't get to see the whole game (start times within an hour and a half).
UNT, TCU, and SMU all play at home on at least one date, but the TCU and SMU times haven't been set yet. You'd need those kick-offs pretty spaced apart (especially with SMU and TCU running something off the Air Raid tree - their games take a long time).
