I think you're talking about a group of special needs adults that were at the game so let's maybe take a step back.

That being said, I don't know how anyone can be expected to recruit at Tulsa. We all knew this was going to be the least enjoyable game to watch this year.

Just an absolutely pathetic program all around.

On the telecast, after the game,Coach was running after a UC player and steaming mad. Was that Harris retaliating? What happened?

And many UC fans were actually rooting for that loss (myself included) to remove any doubt that we should fire Tuberville. It worked, because that was his last game at UC before getting fired.

A couple of guys were so drunk that they must have thought they were at an Oklahoma game because they were wearing OU gear,

The guy in the airbrushed Scooby Doo T-shirt was definitely a fashion trendsetter.

Hard to justify buying a Golden Shower shirt for one decent game a year.

RE: Game Day Thread: Cincy at Tulsa
Was home alone and there was nothing on TV so I speed watched the defensive snaps again.

Take a drink every time Ivan Pace is held around the neck, is bear-hugged or has his jersey grabbed and pulled by Tulsa's Center or RG.

Chug a beer every time that happens and he's still in on the play.

If that drinking game existed, you'd need to have your stomach pumped before halftime. Inside offensive linemen simply aren't quick enough and can't bend to get leverage to block him.

I noticed this as well and it's interesting to me that, while the trend in the sport and at UC in particular has been to get longer, Pace has bucked that trend despite being 6'0" on a good day. It's as if being lower to the ground and incredibly strong with a great first step is awkward for offensive linemen to account for since they tend to be taller and longer themselves, so they have a hard time getting lower and contorting their body to block him without drawing what-should-be a penalty.

Honeslty, their RT on Eric Phillips and Jabari Taylor was WAY worse than any of the interior holds. There were no less than 10 instances of isolated one-on-one engagement that ended with a headlock, body hook, or jersey drag and every one of them, by nature of them being the RT, were directly in front of the white cap. Now, you could maybe give me some excuse of "there is an immobile and injured QB, so the Referee was looking more at the action in the pocket for the sake of player safety" but even with that it is hard to miss some of it. Add onto that the fact that Tunstall got called on a hold for a 3-step drop and fire on a speed out to the opposite side of the field when we were in max protect, and then something starts smelling fishy.

RE: Game Day Thread: Cincy at Tulsa
Tulsa's first drive of the second quarter has the funniest example. 3rd and long. The RG literally has his left elbow under Pace's chin like he's going to choke him out. Forces Pace's chin up so he's looking at the sky. That's not working so he also grabs the back of Pace's jersey with his right hand. Pace still gets leverage so t he RB tries to chop/chip him low while he's already engaged. Pace beats all of that to meet Taylor or Briggs at Brin's chest which forces a fumble that a Tulsa OL recovers for about a 8 yard loss.

There may have been 3 other clear penalties on the OL on just that play. None of it was called.

What I love about Ivan is he's like the fun ADHD kid at the sleepover who keeps everyone up all night. At the end of every play he immediately grabs the ball carrier's hand and pulls him to his feet. Looks like he's having more fun than anyone on the field.

If you haven't done so yet, check him out at practice this week - he was mic'd up. Basically goes around practice randomly tackling dudes. He can't stop moving.

When they weren’t getting completely bent in half by the Godfather, Indiana’s OL was holding nearly every play as well.
