...well, 'literally' when we kickoff (or receive) on Saturday, it will have been 14 days since our last game... but the phrasing DOES imply two consecutive 'idle' weeks... with that, we should be more or less at 'max power' heading into the Owl's nest, or lair, or whatever... 03-drunk ...the 'down side' is we are 0-1 in 'revenge games' so far this season... 03-banghead

Friday, September 30th

UTSA @ MTSU 6:30PM CT - UTSA is hampered by the injury bug and MTSU is coming off a huge road win at Miami. This is a tough one. UTSA has been the class of the conference lately and Middle Tennessee has been Mediocre Tennessee State. I guess I give the edge to the home team.


Saturday, October 1st

Florida Atlantic @ North Texas 3:00 PM CT - Despite their 3 loses I am leaning towards the Owls, although North Texas did show signs of life against Memphis, FAU took Purdue to the wire. FAU in a close one.

UTEP @ Charlotte 5:00 PM CT - Another tough one to pick, UTEP shocked Boise State and may still be riding high while Charlotte even with Reynolds was crushed by the Gamecocks. What the heck, give me the Miners.

Troy @ WKU 6:00 PM CT - WKU pretty much went easy on FIU in the second half and still the subs put up 31 but Troy has a much better defense than FIU and offense to boot, but the Toppers are a better team I do believe. WKU wins in Bowling Green by 2 scores.

UAB @ Rice 6:30 PM CT - Rice has been a much improved bunch of Owls so far and will make the Blazers earn this one, UAB escapes in Houston.

Florida International @ New Mexico St 7:00 PM CT - Two teams that have struggled at times so far, not one decent win between them. since the game is in Las Cruces give me the Aggies.
