Not making excuses, but our schedule has also been horrible to this point. Opening weekend kick time of 11 am against an FBS school that virtually eliminated tailgating. Then an 11 pm kickoff at Hawaii that nobody was staying up to 230 am to finish watching. Then a bye week. Then heartbreaking loss at IU that was another 11 am kick (goodbye fair weather fans). Then back home as a 31 point favorite. You have had to REALLY want to watch WKU to catch our games this year so far. If we don't have 17-19k this weekend I will be pretty disappointed.

Considering Akron was the opponent, 20,004 is a pretty good number for Liberty. May be 2nd highest total since joining FBS fully (not including FCS days). We will see how many tickets are sold for Virginia Tech and BYU later in the year. Va. Tech is Thanksgiving break, which results in a lot of students being away.

I wonder what attendance a non-rainy UAB vs. Liberty game would have had. I also wonder what kind of outcome would have resulted from 0 turnovers on said rainy day but alas we will never know

I was at the LU/UAB game and it started raining about noon and basically rained the rest of the night. Light showers to moderate at times, not really super hard, but it still made for a miserable night somewhat for fans. Attendance was just under 19,000, but I am sure the rain kept some away. Not just the rain, but the forecast had been for rain, some of it heavy.

Yeah, I figure it would have been better than vs. Akron if there had been good weather
