I didn't watch the game, so can someone tell me how the hell Tulane lost this game? The stats show complete domination by Tulane. Tulane had 26 first downs to USM's 13, and 451 yards to USM's 253. Looking at turnovers, Tulane was only -1 though.

This. Congratulations on the W — this one hurts but that’s life. Also congratulations on moving up to the Belt. That is a great move for Southern Miss and I know y’all will thrive there. Maybe sooner rather than later.

With 2 for 1 tickets and cheap beer we still outdrew you in your own stadium. Again. We beat you in your home stadium. Again. At least we didn’t make you punt on 3rd down again. 24-9, your brand needs to catch up.
Talk all the smack you want, but in no world did you outdraw us. Southern Miss comfortably filled the visitors' corner of the stadium, which is 3 sections. The rest was Tulane fans, including 75% of the sideline behind Southern Miss, which is where the affordable season tickets are and is always mostly filled with Tulane fans. Our student section had about as many people in it as there were Southern Miss fans in the entire stadium, and that's not at all an exaggeration.

Hidden in the stats is the turnovers on downs, blocked Punt and the blocked FG.

Southern Miss scored on a pick six, and also recovered a blocked punt on the Tulane 25-yd. line to set up a FG. So that’s 10 points right there. Also, Tulane suffered a blocked FG and missed another FG. Potential 6 points there.
I admit, when we jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the 2nd Q, I turned it off and did other things for a while. When I tuned back in it was 17-17 and USM was kicking the FG to take the lead. Games like that happen sometimes.

That helps also. Thanks. I check on the scores of the other games while I'm at our UTSA games, and I saw where you guys jumped out in front 14-0, and saw how the score progressed as the game continued. I didn't take a look at any stats for your game or others until I got home from our game late last night though, and the stats weren't what I expected.

You're sitting in the visitors section taking a low res video. Yes that proves there were more USM fans in the visitors section.

If y’all can figure out how to parlay those better academics into some play-calling, you might have a chance in these games.

LOL, UAB is not even an AAC member and has done very little of note to warrant your spurious accusation. As a Tiger fan, I worry more about playing Tulane than UAB.
Know your lane and stay in it until UAB does something worthy of acclaim other than mere survival.

In UAB's defense, they lost to USM in their first nine meetings, but have since beaten them in 8 of their last 10 going back to 2009. UAB is also 45-21 since 2017. I'd say that's pretty good. They're also 6-5 against Tulane, including a win over Tulane last year. For that matter, UAB is also 10-5 against Memphis all-time. No, they're not in the AAC yet, but they will be next year, and maybe you should worry a little more about playing them than you do right now.
