In case you're wondering who HCU is, Houston Baptist just up and decided to change their name to Houston Christian yesterday. So this game got even more obscure than it already was.

Should be a skulldragging. If we manage to lose Spav may get Herm Edwards'd in the endzone.

Bobcats win 34-0. First shutout since 2014.

The defense did a pretty decent job shutting out HCU and holding them to only 142 yards total offense (103 passing and 42 rushing). That offense though, man we're in big trouble once we get into SBC play. We may not get more than 20 pts/game from here on out and that's being optimistic on my part.

O rolled up about 500 yds. Total offense. Hatcher threw for over 300 yds. And 4 TDs.
Not a bad night in anyone’s book.

Certainly conference play will be more difficult, and we probably have less room for error than most. But until we actually play a conference game and get a gauge as to how we stack up (or fall short) . . . I wouldn’t panic just yet.

Though our first 3 games are brutal . . . JMU on the road, App, followed by Troy.
