RE: O-Line
The most difficult part of Tiger football has always been the OL and DL……hard to get good depth there……only reason we can’t match up with the big boys…not sure it ever changes.

Agree depth on OLine is a struggle. But I think the DLine depth is in best shape of past several seasons and promising that 4 of 6 in 2 deep are Fr or So. I know Allen is listed as a DL but it think his position is more of a hybrid LB than DL based on how he moves around and lines up so different from play to play.

At one point we had run for over 200 yards. Finished with 193 yards.
Not the best O Line play we have seen, we seem to have gone back to the running back by committee approach used by Fuente. But its still better than we have had for the last 2 seasons.

2 Differences that I saw. Seth rushed 10 times, and we didn't really break off a long run yesterday.

Our QB accounted for about 25% of that and not because the plays were designed that way. The kid scrambles for his life.

RE: O-Line
The O-line is an issue, no doubt.

We had 2 OL go down in the game and we were playing a true redshirt freshman in Pounders. Need to get healthy! We should take care of Temple and then the BIG game against Houston!

Is there such thing as a false redshirt freshman, lol.

Our OL play is BAD - and has been for a while. Last year we heard the excuses of injuries. Okay.

This year don't give me the youth excuse. Starting and backup players years of experience:
Pounders 2-year, backup 3-year
Gambill 3-year, backup 5-year
Likes 4-year, backup 3-year
Dale 6-year, backup 3-year
Myers 6-year, backup 3-year

We have 5-6 guys who can't block a 3 man pass rush. We can't clear out running lanes. I felt last year that CRS needed to replace OL Coach Bridge. This year is not helping the case.

RE: O-Line
Our QB needs 2 second drops at most with this O-line for pass plays or we need rollouts. O-line pass protection seems as bad as it has ever been over the last 8 years.

I agree. Fuente and Norvell were really good about minimizing OL weakness by not continually putting them in positions to fail. Fuente used a decent amount of misdirection and Norvell got the ball in the playmakers hands as fast as possible along with some misdirection.
