Ghost guns are excluded from this because they weren’t manufactured by a company but Congress just passed a law around ghost guns too. I don't believe the ATF can pass laws.
But they can institute regulations. There are already a whole books worth.
That power was eliminated by a SCOTUS ruling having to do with EPA powers to create regulations.

ATF did not pass the law of course but they worked with the bill’s sponsors in congress on the bill’s language and enforcement

You know... It's not against the law to carry. I wish the "news" would not imply he is in trouble for carrying a weapon.
"Concealed carry is legal for residents with a Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) and for non-residents that are at least 21 years old and who have licenses/permits from their state of residency".
Until recently it was against the law to carry concealed without a handgun permit here in TN.

Lol tell that to them, they are all set to regulate braces on AR pistols out of legality. They have a whole book full of regulations. Don't be naive.

I am an avid shooter and strong supporter of the 2A and I firmly believe that TN's constitutional carry policy is too lenient. Anyone of age who hasn't been convicted of a crime can now carry openly or concealed without ever having attended even a basic firearm's safety class. That to me is an open invitation to disaster although nothing appears to have happened yet because of the new law.

Like when you tried to pick a fight with Homefry? He would have stomped a mud hole in you.

When you apply for a CCP, you take classes that impress upon you the seriousness and weight of carrying. It will inevitably impart a level of responsibility not experienced by just buying a gun on the corner.

I dont know how many people would come forward claiming all that. You are looking at a possible 10 year sentence. Just how much would it take for you to go to jail for 10 years? A few million maybe?

Not much of which teaches you much at all about the mechanics of shooting properly. I can't tell you the number of people I know who went through those classes and have no idea what to do if they should need to use the damn thing.
A friend of mine, an old man who had no business carrying a handgun, bought one after getting his handgun carry permit. He came in the smoke shop where I used to work one day waving it around saying "look at what I bought!". Everyone in the place dove for cover. I made him go put the gun back in his truck. He came back in and asked if I could give him some tips on things like how to hold it and asked what other advice I had for him. I told him to return it to the store he bought it from. He asked why and I told him because the first time he had to use it someone would take it from him and shoot him. Not even two months later he was dead, shot by his own handgun by some punk ass biatch he had taken in. They started arguing, the kid threatened him, he pulled it out and the kid did exactly what I predicted, took it from him and shot him dead. They found him 4 days later under his bed. He was a sweet old fool.
Also, in TN you no longer need a carry permit of any kind to carry one. That is insane.

Are you suggesting there be some form of discrimination when it comes to issuing permits?

I don’t believe in judgements but I do believe in things like basic training on the law and firearm safety.
I.e carry all you want like I do but there should be a minimum bar. I’ve had my permit for years and am thankful I had a good trainer who knew the law. I’ve had to actually explain the law to some Johnny Rambo wannabes who had bad trainers and didn’t do anything after the class other than blow through magazines of reloads at the range once in a while.

This is absolutely insane and to this day I don’t understand it. I’m completely pro second amendment but you don’t put a child behind the wheel of a bus.
