Scenario: App's comeback against UNC went the Mountaineer's way. App scored the two point conversion, and won in overtime 70-63. There is no change to the results in the Texas A&M or Troy game and App State is 3-0.

Question: In your opinion, where would App be ranked today?

22-25 tops. A&M would have put us there if we won against UNC, but the close game against Troy would have knocked us down again.

Around #21 probably. Not too high because they weren't ranked preseason. The win over unranked UNC wouldn't have moved the needle too much after game 1, but being 3-0 with two P5 wins, one against #6, would have them at least ranked.

Unofficially 28th now with a loss. I think it would have potentially been top 20.

I'd think it'd have to be at least 18ish.

I think between 20-25.

I'll say #22 to be specific.

The better question is where would App be ranked right now if they were able to sew an ACC or Big 12 patch on their jersey.

Eye test says 30-35

Should be about 17. Would be somewhere around 19 to 22.

Probably somewhere in the 22-25 range.

That said, they're 28. If they can keep it together and keep winning they might crack the top 5 by the mid-season mark.

Ironically enough we're still ahead of UNC in the rankings
